Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Individuals struggling with ADHD often need help with creating structure and developing strategies to become more effective in everyday responsibilities and activities. Often, concomitant with ADHD, issues with self-esteem need to be addressed. Additionally, individuals with ADHD often struggle with other problematic behaviors as they attempt to cope with the challenges of the disorder. Therapy will therefore address all of the relevant issues. Skills training often includes: time management, organization skills, creating structure in one's life and space, note taking or recording skills, and study skills (as appropriate). Your treatment will reflect the issues relevant to your particular situation.
